Steph Curry will more than likely get it, even though The Beard has been playing his ass off. It depends on who gets to the Finals or closer to them.

Rockets are 1-0 against the Mavericks. They must win Game 2.

If we're all honest with ourselves, the award prolly should go to Lebron.

Yeah, I know he's won it numerous times before.....but there's no denying the immediate impact he's had on the Cavs since his return.

He's gotten Cleveland back into the playoffs for the first time since taking his talents to Miami. Should he be the catalyst that gets the Cavs to the Eastern Conference championship....or beyond......isn't that what a Most Valuable Player award should be about?

It pisses me off that ESPN (from practically game one of the regular season) feels it's their duty to tell everyone who THEY believe the MVP should be. The talking heads chatted up Westbrook, Curry and Harden weekly as if no one else in the NBA was doing a damned thing to help their team win games.

Hell...the fact OK City didn't even make the playoffs tells me everything I need to know about how valuable Kevin Durant is to that team. Even though he missed most of the season perhaps he's just as deserving to be this year's winner (again).

Lebron for MVP, really? And no, it's not about what you do in the playoffs, it's an in season award. He will finish behind Harden and Curry, and rightfully so. Almost impossible to make a case for him to have it this year.

That was a good game, not great but good.
Harden is in a class by himself. He's playing chess to everyone else's checkers. 11 assists and 24 points...Dayum!
He'll keep doing it until the Mavs start tightening up those passing lanes and then he'll drop 50 on them. He did this time, it was just with assists though. Those 11 assists were good for 27 points since 5 were three pointers. This is the matchup they needed in the first round to gain some confidence.
Dirk played well on the offensive side but looks like he's having trouble transitioning to defense. How old is he anyway?
Chandler is no match for Howard and they know it. Howard has to be more careful, he got suckered into a couple of those early fouls.
Rondo looked like Rondo of old on a few plays. Dude is quick.
One thing the Rockets are dependent on is for Terry or Brewer getting hot outside or Ariza but it's not expected of him quite as much.. One of those guys has to get hot each night. I don't know why in the hell they let Smith shoot anything other than lay ups. He needs to be in the game to lay some hard fouls on some guys. That's it. I'd rather have Dorsey shooting 3's I think.
Speaking of fouls...I was impressed with McHale going after Rondo right after they intentionally put Smith on the line. Showed some of the old Celtics balls right there, I thought and it stopped the hack-a-Smith in it's tracks.

I think Rockets get game 2 so....

If Dallas gets the 2-2 split I'm assuming game 5 will be a blowout in Houston's favor, so we should go to game 7, but if only manage to get 1 game in Dallas this weekend, game 5 will be the only other one to go to lol, that will be next Tuesday if it goes down like that.

Will find Smitty's Top 5 from Friday to post, but this is one of my absolute favorites. The playoff editions are going to be fuckin awesome.

This baby is cooked, kiddies.....I hate to concede just being down 0-2 but the writing's on the wall. Dirk and Ellis are hot-n-cold on their shooting.....Parsons doesn't look like he's suiting up anymore (no one can figure out his nagging knee issues)....and Rondo has visions of sugar plums of wearing a Laker's uniform next season.

The NFL calendar came out late last night......I, for one, have turned my attention to the Cowboys' 2015 schedule and making my plans (it won't include road-tripping to Buffalo in Week 16, that's fer sure! Damn....)
