Spanky.... someone taught me this trick to remember Discrete vs Discreet.
Discrete-1 pertains to two separate and distinct things. The two 'Es' in discrete are kept separate by the 'T' in-between them.
Discreet-2 means to be cautious. When you're skeet shooting "ee" you should be discreet/caution where you point your weapon. The two "Es" in discreet are right next to each other as are they in the word "skeet." Since we're talking about the hobby here it also applies because one needs to be careful/discreet when shooting that skeet all over the place so as to not detach someone's retina during a high volume/high pressure facial hose down.
Lol...but all jokes aside...if you remember just one discrete or discreet...you'll always be able to figure out the other. Happy spelling and shooting!
