Mambo's is owned by the same people that have Connie's Seafood. Their grilled shrimp is good.

I find people's opinions of restaurants are a lot like their opinions of hookers, everybody has different tastes.
I have never found either pussy or food that is "to die for" and never will.

Same here! That dog shit was terrible.
Nostalgia: Clear Creek Inn at Kemah was the best place of them all in that area.
Damn 2D, I haven't thought about that place in years. I agree however, it was most definitely a fav.
I was very disappointed in TopWater Grill as so many people raved about it. I was much less than impressed as it seemed the popularity hurt the quality of the food and service.
I have friends who adore this place - not me. It's, at best, just okay.
Same with Noah's - friends love it. Huh?
Stingaree on the intracoastal at Crystal beach used to be great but I have not been back since Ike. Anybody know if it is as good as it once was?
Not familiar with this one. Will have to go and check it out.

The Topwater Grille in San Leon is tough to beat. They are associated with Hillmans Seafood. Their shrimp and oysters were in the water the day before. They bought the recipes from the Hillmans Seafood Restaurant, also in San Leon. Pecan Crusted Snapper and Stuffed Flounder are both excellent. Half shell oysters are cold, fresh and salty, the way they are supposed to be.
