Bottom line, don't let them dry out or they will smoke hot and burn. I have a modest wood humidor, It is not airtight, but it will keep the cigars in the dark at 70% humidity. In a pinch I've used a ziploc w/a moistened piece of paper towel. I like to put an apple core in my humidor too, it gives the cigars just a little something extra.

Always remember to have an extra cigar with you to offer to your friend when you light up. Rules of the road.

LOL... That's specifically why I got some milder ones.

I actually tried one of the CAO Gold's and was surprised at how good it was, tho. Very smooth and I really like the flavor. It wasn't quite "full" enough for me, but that is what I figured I'd have around to offer company (anyone who just wanted to try something).

I also got a couple of the others people here mentioned and a few that just sounded good (Cohiba, Macanudo, Montecristo, Ashton - Aged Maduro.....might try that one now) LOL

Thanks for the help, guys! We'll see how the jar works out for now, and thanks for letting me piggyback on the thread, Herc

You can also store the jar in a closet to keep light away
If they are in a wrapper remove it while in storage.

Also most cigars flavor will improve and mellow more with some extra
time in a humidor. at least 3 weeks or more. Some insist on giving them
at least 6 months. Hard to do unless you have a lot.

Here are some good cigar tips.

Davidoff are top of the line.

I would urge everyone again to order the Holts
Rocky Patel sampler. I like the Ocean Club so much
that I just ordered a box.

The sampler has some of his best and it's only five for $12
with free shipping. Link below.
