If every recipient of the spam calls spoofed these scammers in return - the spam would stop.
Unfortunately, there are some vulnerable folks are defrauded - and that is a shame.

Education as to the frauds is helpful - the best weapon against these scammers.

I have also spoofed these scam callers - when I have a spare moment to mess with them.

The more time of their One wastes - the less time they have to prey on vulnerable people.

by the way, these people are hardened, so don't feel like you are being mean to them. THEY are the mean people. they will curse you out in a New York Minute, Ladies too. if that happens, you got to them, so be proud!

i prank as often as i can.

another tactic ... in the middle of the call, tell them "hold on, i got to get something."
then just put the phone down and never go hack to the call.

or tell them some sob story about how you really need to save money and how they can help. then ask them to venmo you the money you'd save by buying the product they're selling. (maybe use a story that some scamming provider has used on you :^}

again, anything to waste their time.

I get non stop calls from pharmacy to health insurance. Since politely asking these assholes to stop only makes them worse I do one of two things. If possible I get their number/extension and I call them several times each week and when they ask why I just tell them so I can waste their fucking time. Let’s just get this bull shit over with so I can get back to work. This usually ends in a screaming match with various insults and threats but they keep answering. When the Indian reps call from online pharmacy I either forward their calls to the insurance reps or I pretend they are from Pakistan or another Muslim country. “I”ll show you Jihad motherfucker. I’m going to come back over there and slit your camel’s throat”. They respond by saying I’m Indian mother fucker! I don’t even have a camel!!” I’m Indian. I’m Indian!

just now I got a "you've been slected for a $50 gift card from Amazon, Walmart or Walgren's, which do you want?".. I said Walgren's.. great, answer a brief survey first. "do you support the legalization of marijuana, yes (1) or no (2)?.. I played along and hit #1.. "have you or a family member ever been sexually assaulted by a Catholic Priest"? huh?.. ok, let's hit #1 and see what happens.. a guy comes on the line, sounding intense. after a brief recording that there is help for me.. he asked the name of the Priest who assaulted me.. "um, I forgot his name, I just called him 'Father'", I said. he told me it wasn't important, but I would get a callback from a "Specialist".. he hung up as I was saying "don't you want to know what happened to me"!? LOL


the do not call list is apparently worthless now, if it even still exists. and yeah, 90% of calls I get that aren't immediately known to me, are ignored.
