The actor should be recognizable, but the role may be a bit obscure...

Yep. One of--if not the--worst times Bogart was miscast in his career.
Your move.

Well... not to pick an argument with you, but the Internet Movie Database begs to differ:
The Boys in Company C (1978)
When just checking up on the titie, I gave a look at the cast list... Was surprised to see that R. Lee Ermey was in this one (playing himself, I suspect, as he did in Full Metal Jacket) before he established himself as the go-to actor to cast as Drill Sergeant Nasty. ( Drill Sergeant Nasty)
And here's one that may be quite obscure. (Hint: Been several adaptations of this property, so the correct answer needs to include enough information to demonstrate you have the correct film--year made, lead actor, or other information...)
Cheers,
bcg

Ok, it's been way over 24 hours here (My Inconsiderate Employer thinks that I have better things to do than play "Guess the Movie" games this week). This was from the 1990 Captain America, which starred Matt Salinger (son of reclusive author J.D. Salinger ( The Catcher in the Rye and other AmLit classics)) in the title role.
Ok, this one should be way too easy.
Cheers,
bcg
