The election is over. For the sake of the country, let's stop bickering and root for the collective wisdom of the administration and the divided congress to lead us through this budgetary difficulty - at least until the next mid-term election!

Jack, do you really think our little "bickering forum" has that much of an impact on the ENTIRE country? For the sake of the country? really?

This forum is a microcosm of the country. I certainly hope (probably in vain) that the whole country will also do the same.

You can hope, yes in vain, all you want. I know you are not that naive.

The country is in dire straits - and not because of recent events. I am old and do not worry about my own future. Since the political stalemate will not be change any time soon, all I can do is to hope that we can somehow work together for the good of the next generations.

You know as well as I do Jack, that the 2 parties versions of change differ so much that I doubt it will ever happen. I think insolvency is the only possible outcome.

He said what you quoted him as saying.

Good grief, was it really that difficult to decipher his typo?

I'm noticing a little extra hate in most of your posts lately. When was the last time you got laid? Maybe you should go get a mani/pedi, that will make you feel better.

Default Lets Exploit the Masses Again ...

Getting back to the notion of political discussion ...

Politics is anything BUT simple however the reality is this. The majority has spoken and a clear set of expectations was laid out. If insolvency is the solution then we really are fucked! <ok ok civil dialogue>

Each of us has to balance our own budgets why can't the government do the same? And YES I understand that government is NOT and can not be equated with individual fiscal constraints, but why not?

Government has a responsibility to the people ... OK I've been way to serious ... MY reaction to OUR political discussion ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Xd_zkMEgkI
