part of this debate is when does life begin? obviously it begins at conception. but is that viable life? No. a fetus has virtually no chance whatsoever to survive until 6 months of gestation. even today with the most advanced neonatal care at 3 months premature the odds of survival is 50/50 at best. this is medical fact. that's largely why Roe v Wade was capped at the end of the second trimester.

I guess i'm one of those idiots.

to recap.

life begins at moment of conception (week 1): yes but its not viable. giving human rights to a bunch of cells is stupid.

life begins at heartbeat (4 - 6 weeks): yes but its not viable; human rights status yes.

life begins at birth (260 days): yes; its viable; human rights yes.

No. if you understand these real world/medical limitations and constraints that makes you scientifically enlightened

4 Weeks Pregnant: Your symptoms

Every mom-to-be’s experience of pregnancy is unique. In fact, what you experience during this pregnancy may be different to what you experienced during a previous pregnancy. To help you feel more prepared for whatever may come, take a look at this list of possible symptoms of pregnancy at four weeks:
  • Bloated stomach.
Your body is preparing itself to house a rapidly growing baby for the next several months. Expect a bit of bloating, particularly in your abdomen. Your uterine lining is getting a bit thicker, and the swelling means your womb is taking up more space than usual. Test your knowledge of the early signs of pregnancy in our poll, and read on for more.
  • Light bleeding or spotting.
Some women have some spotting at four weeks pregnant — it’s called implantation bleeding. If you see a lot of blood, if the spotting lasts longer than two days, or you have any concerns, see your doctor right away.
  • Moodiness.
Other symptoms you might notice at four weeks pregnant include mood swings. Triggered by increasing hormone levels, these extreme emotions and wild shifts may be the strongest in the first and the third trimesters. Relaxation exercises, massages, sleep, and following a balanced diet are some of the easiest ways to help yourself feel better.
  • Breast tenderness.
Just like your abdomen, your breasts are starting to prepare for the important job of nourishing a new arrival. The number of milk glands increases, and the fat layer also thickens, causing your breasts to become enlarged.
  • Morning sickness.
You may or may not have morning sickness — a queasiness that may strike at any time of day, not just in the morning — at four weeks pregnant. This condition varies from one woman to the next, with some feeling only mildly nauseated and others vomiting. If it’s affecting you, consider yourself in good company: some level of morning sickness impacts approximately 85 percent of women during their pregnancies. The good news is these unpleasant symptoms often subside during the second trimester.
  • Light-colored discharge.
When you’re four weeks pregnant, increased vaginal discharge is normal. It should be sticky, clear, or white. If you notice a bad odor or have a sore or itchy vaginal area, speak to your healthcare provider.
  • Fatigue.
Don’t be surprised if you feel completely exhausted, and get ready for even more tired days ahead. Your body is working round the clock to support your little one, and your levels of the hormone progesterone are increasing, which can tire you out. Fatigue is a normal part of pregnancy, but can also be a sign of an iron deficiency, so you may want to talk to your healthcare provider about your iron intake. Getting enough can help prevent anemia, which can lead to feelings of lethargy.

How many of you dipshits have birthed a child?

I find the most telling part of this debate has ever been the fact that a bunch of grumpy old men are doing all the raging in here. Not a single woman/provider/single mom/AFFECTED PARTY.

Liberty loving hypocrites? Yep.

I'd guess most providers would be pro choice. As to grumpy old men in this forum, we're irrelevant. It's the Congressmen, state legislators and judges who count. And yeah, a lot of them are men who aren't ideally placed to pontificate on child bearing and abortion given they don't have uteruses.

No, I'm not against corporations helping. Either I have to pay more close attention to what I'm writing or you do in your reading. How you could come up with I'd be against corporations or anybody from helping a pregnant women get an abortion baffles me especially considering that you know for a fact I would not ban abortions if given the chance to vote on it but all this is academic to the point of the Constitutional finding that this issue as many others, should be left up to the vote of the people by State. Anybody that would argue against that doesn't understand the Constitution or Federalism.
Ha! The tables are turned. In a couple of past posts you failed to recognize my sarcasm. Now I'm the guilty one. Only the other way around. I thought your post was dripping with sarcasm, but you really, more-or-less meant what you wrote.

Well knock me down with a feather. Just saw a report about how companies like Levi Strauss, Amazon and even Tesla, now owned by a racist, fascist, Apartheid loving White man, will be offering in some cases, up to $4400, ( don't know how they came up with that number ) to cover travel and medical expenses and will of course get full pay for how ever long it takes to recuperate. I have the feeling recuperation time will end up being much, much longer than it was before this generous package.

So settle down people, it's all good. If you can't move to an abortion loving state, either your job or rich White people with their White guilt and White privilege, will pickup the tab. What a great country we live in.

Gee federalism at work... Why do you object to 50 different options? That means 50 different places to choose to move to if you so wish.

There's another alternative... Birth Control!! Which is CHEAP AS FCUK and WIDELY available.

Why is it WRONG to expect people to THINK about their reproductive health before they fcuk? But perfectly acceptable for them to do so AFTER conception?

Because some LIbtard lefties are cool with killing the baby at BIRTH... that's why.

uh-huh... look if a woman can't understand her cycle and when she is capable of getting pregnant, then possibly she should keep her legs closed...

Yeah.. Wait to see how your State and others respond, then simply pick up and move at your leisure. Great idea.. NOT

Spot on.

How would they feel if a Website overwhelmingly populated by young women, voiced an opinion that criminal sanctions should be imposed on any old man that got up to pee more than 3 times during the night?

Women are becoming public enemy #1. They can't have control over their own bodies.

Because grumpy old men said so. If the grumpy old men could get pregnant, this would not even be an issue.

Grumpy old men are legion on this Board. I hope to Hell I never become one. Imagine living a long life, and settling on Grumpy Old Man in your final years?

I guess the Grumps don't feel bad about their state. They don't self-identify as Grumpy. In their decaying minds, they think they know more than others, and should be afforded the right to tell you how to live your life.

We have confirmation - God (one God, Thor) is on the board.

Can we hear from another God?

I say life begins when she says it does.
