These two goofballs, Bambie and WTF-Do-I-Know are actually pretending the "oddsmakers" (their "bookies") decided the Astros were "underdogs" .. so the Astros were underdogs!
And are trying to claim the media had nothing to do with it!!!!!

to the extent the media influences the public's perceptions on various teams or sporting outcomes, the media does affect the line

Yes! You might want to explain that to LexusLover, myself and bambino have been trying to explain that to him for the last week or so.
He seems to think the media sets the odds
Instead of :
1) Odds Makers set the lines
2) Media publishes the lines
3) Bookies accept bets based on those odds and they are fluid depending on the wagering of the general public.
That is wtf bambino meant by the public really setting the odds. Anybody in the SportsBook game knew exactly wtf he was talking about. Only LL decided to parse words and act as if he knew more than he did.

Of course, but I wasn't even talking about "the line" .....
... I was posting about the media hype regarding the WC teams.
But those two goofballs "assume" they no more about gambling than anyone else who posts on here .... so they want to talk about "gambling" instead of the media hype ....
.... I want bother to research their "take" on the 2016 Elections!
Their "bookies" must have told them for whom to vote!!!!!!!
So they voted for HillariousNoMore!!!!

You still do not know the difference between an odds maker and a bookie it appears.
The oddsmakers are not our bookies. They are two different functions.
I claimed early on that it was an evenly matched Series. That is one of the reasons I bet the Astros...because you were getting good odds betting them.
Odds makers set the odds. That is their function. They get paid handsomely for doing so.
Bookies take bets, they do not set odds. They do however adjust the odds based on the money being bet on each side. You are getting these two functions confused.
Odds makers set an opening line. Bookies post that line and then , if needed, adjust the line depending on the action bet on each side.
Please STFU about this subject....you know next to nothing about.

You turn the World Series into a discussion about Hillary? You have fucking problems dude. You're the stupid asshole that responds to a 'Pass the Turkey please" into a discussion about Bill Clinton and his wife at Thanksgiving.
Hopefully you have learned the difference between an odds maker and a bookie.
I did not vote for Hillary or Trump and I'm pretty sure bambino voted for Trump. So you are caught in yet another lie.
I wish the fuck I had flown to London and bet on Trump! You could have got him at 5-1 a few months before the election.

First off, it’s KNOW instead of “no”. Again, I refer you to Post #337. Secondly, it’s pretty clear in this forum that I voted for Trump, not Hillary. Again, refer to Post #337. You’ve exposed yourself in this forum as an abject fraud, liar, and dumbass. And what does this mean?
“I want bother to research their "take" on the 2016 Elections”. What exactly do you “WANT”?
I refer you to Post #337
Carry on you fool, tool and troll.

For you it's "no"! As in no bueno por nada!
"Petty" much?
Again: You three fools (now 3 with your new buddy) ... still want to claim the media has nothing to do with the "perception" that the Astros were "underdogs" ... as Bambie first stated.
But you three goofballs would rather lie and redirect than deal with your stupid theories. So, now you "stretch" for form over substance and name-calling!!!!
Carry on .. immature offspring!

I said that both teams won over 100 games in the regular season. Niether team was a fluke. I simply stated what the odds were. And the “ODDSMAKERS” established the Astros as the “dog”. Nowhere did I mention the MSM, you did. I said I would bet the Astros because of the favorable odds. You seemed to think I was “marginalizing” the Astros because I was taking the favorable odds and betting on them. Exactly how is betting my hard earned dollars “marginalizing” the Astros? Only an IDIOT would come to that conclusion. Were you born this stupid or did a rock hit you in the head?
