Ripe Olives
Feeling the smooth green skin of an olive,
Resting gingerly on my tongue
Like my lover’s smoothest hairless skin,
I like to suck the slimy pimento out first
With tiny separate nibbles, carefully
Protecting the olive’s tender flesh from anxious incisors.
The pimento soon melts into smooth sweet juices,
Is swallowed and safely gone.
I explore the rim of the olive’s core
With the tip of my tongue and then
Suck again - harder this time
Until the whole thing collapses
Into a briny festival of flavors
For the thread: Practice...makes perfect
{I think I got confused...lol}

I'm surprised that so many people don't believe there are many gals with katana expertise.

Agree, but the skill is rarely known outside of the art. And a correctly balanced item is actually rare, which is itself also a restriction on knowledge.
And causing Olive to tap out, after balancing on the tip, is in itself another art.

Conan: "The riddle... of steel."
Thulsa Doom: "Yes! You know what it is, don't you boy? Shall I tell you? It's the least I can do. Steel isn't strong, boy, flesh is stronger! Look around you. There, on the rocks; a beautiful girl. Come to me, my child... "
[coaxes the girl to jump to her death]
Thulsa Doom: "That is strength, boy! That is power! What is steel compared to the hand that wields it? Look at the strength in your body, the desire in your heart, I gave you this! Such a waste. Contemplate this on the tree of woe. Crucify him!"

A properly wielded sword makes a sweet sound. With the untrained it will flutter in the wind.

The point of the blade requires extensive expertise and accuracy.
The edge of the blade must be kept sharp or it will not cut.
The flat of the blade is dull, useless for nothing but spanking.

Luke 22:36-38
Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.
And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.

Romans 13:4
(to the evildoer)
But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
But remember:
"Never give a sword to a man who can't dance" - Confucius
I remember a smaller toy practice, from a long time ago, not far from where I am today, when the dance instructor had a whisky tango moment.
