Aren't these the same 75 you said were already coming in?
Not really interested in double counting when he hasn't landed the whale. His tariff chaos has even delayed the Switch 2. And we haven't seen the penguins budge.
In the meantime, he's up to 245% on China.

Nvidia already taking 5.5 billion dollar charge, I expect a slew of companies following their lead and wouldn’t be surprised to see well into the 100’s of billions lost esp w industries we had most the global market and technological lead. Forcing China to speed their own technological products along w pushing EU and most countries into signing trade/aliances w China is truly a self defeating strategy.
His going after poor countries who can provide products, agriculture that are both cheaper than America could ever do it for along w products USA just doesn’t grow or have, his thoughts on working better. Trade deals and defense spending inequality is admirable and correct, that he’s not bright enough to figure out what countries actually improve the lifestyle in USA, saving Americans thousands on products that just can’t be done in America economically (unless he handcuffs illegal aliens in the sweatshops or forces inmates into them)…also items that aren’t grown in USA like coffee, chocolate ect and don’t even start w pharma as we spend more on healthcare than any developed nation because of bribes, kickbacks, greed ….. so let’s tariff to cut our throats even more.
Gas keeps going up lol, this guy would rather sleep w Putin that our neighbors, just plain dangerous

So slavery is fine in your book, as long as it’s in another country and you can still get cheap, low quality household items at Walmart.

Thread ain't about slavery, my dude. Neither is this tariff plan.
You can keep trying to bait that hook with nothing, but it's a bare hook.

It’s a job and a living in many of these countries, not talking about slavery. If they’re handcuffing 6 year olds that’s one thing but if it’s people who need to work to make a living? What is nothing here is decent money in many countries as my buddy reminded me of after a trip to pataya. If there’s proof they’re handcuffed or shotguns at their heads ect…nothing worse than illegal sweatshops abusing kids but that’s happen here as well as rest of world, doesn’t mean every countries factories are all slave shops

Powell gets honest about the impacts of Trump's tariff plans on inflation and the Fed's potential responses.
Quote:
Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell expects President Donald Trump's tariff campaign to push inflation, the central banker said in a Wednesday speech.
Powell emphasized the inflation risks and said the Fed would not necessarily step in to help financial markets with lower interest rates if stocks plummeted.
The tariffs threaten to slow the economy while pushing up inflation, putting the Fed in a difficult position since its monetary policy tools can only help with one of those problems at a time.

As expected, the bad news led the markets to slide further

Lack of coherent policy leads to a loss I'm faith. He gets it.
Quote:
In other words, welcome back to the circus.
To understand this circus, let’s briefly delve into the psychology behind it. Bond investors are usually quiet types, but even they’re panicking, selling U.S. Treasury bondsand running toward gold — the asset humans trust when politicians lose their way.
Why this sudden lack of trust? Because bond investors now see a U.S. where tariffs are rising, inflation makes an unwelcome comeback, and policy makers act without consistent direction. Naturally, the herd panics.
Nothing says ‘I’ve lost faith in government’ quite like hoarding elements from the periodic table.
