Generally, there's no hate, just a preference or a security thing.

I don't see black men because I'm uncomfortable being alone with them. Life experiences lead me to this. That doesn't mean if I see a black guy hanging around my friends in a social setting that I get all freaked out or whatever, I just cannot bring myself to sleep with a black guy.

Kat Williams: A black comedian and actor standing around 5'2" with nice silky hair. He makes jokes about being a pimp and having "bitches"

Rap Music: every song basically talks about how a "brother" is a "Gangsta" with hoes, guns, and money. Clearly, they didn't get that money by selling cupcakes on the weekend at the church bake sale.

BET: a television station dedicated to black people. Nearly every "original" movie shows someone getting shot, raped, beat up, or robbed.

As a naive middle class white dude, I'm fascinated by the reasons people give for not seeing a certain race. A black chick I saw for awhile in Dallas told me something very similar. Just some bad experiences had caused her to adopt the NBA policy. What I've never figured out is if this is the majority position, or are most just flat out rascist.

It would seem to me that if you were treated brutally by a class of people, you'd come by your biases and fears honestly. If you just don't like hanging around people different from yourself, that seems closer to rascism.
