The Old Chelsea was where I once watched a stripper get completely naked and then get on a blanket on the floor with a large dildo and proceed give it a proper workout.

What was the joint down there that got blown up? Some place owned by a used car dealer that led to a shooting and so on.
Good times, like when some goons bombed the Belfonte dairy...

It's been so long I don't remember. But that was something that made KC interesting. Now, not so much. We now have the Power and Light District that was developed by New Yorkers, where you can go have a dinner from a chain restaurant. Not like the good old days of the Italian Gardens and Jenny's, etc.
Oh well.

I think it was Judge Roy Beans that blew up. The Warehouse burned. It was the place that had the wet t-shirt contests.

Judge Roy Beans and Delaware Daddys, were both in the same building. Louie Ribaste and Paul Scola owned them.
The goons wouldnt have done that if daddy's little boy would have paid his $300,000.00 gambling debt.

I always heard that Trixie was a Tranny. They called her "Trixie with a dixie".
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Hell! Since you guys are being so helpful, does anybody remember a strip club on Wornall rd. I have a vague memory from when I was a teenager going into a bar to get change for the bus. The guy was screaming at us to get the hell out if there. I was pretty sure there was a chick dancing. I want to say the bar was near where Tommy Farha's is ( 79th- 83rd st). Who knows, maybe I stumbled into some wild times at a regular bar.

I think your talking about Anthony Bonomo's place, AB's Lounge. Tony was the front owner for Jimmy Duardi. Duardi owned a lot of businesses out south, the Old Fortress bar at 85 and troost, AB's, Booths tow, J and L refrigeration. Jimmy was an old school gangster, he made his bones back in the late 40's and is suspected to have partnered with Nick Civella in the murders of Charlie Binaggio and Charlie Gargotta, the boss and underboss at the time. Lots of stuff went down at AB's,. You could get drunk, high, laid and place a bet all at the same time..

DD, we need "dirty dogs lounge" here. Your forum. Folks ask you questions about the shit you know about. You have a lot of street cred, and lots of interesting experience. Write a book.. I would buy it

Shadows - This place was fucking crazy, the first time I went there to collect, I sat down and the next thing I knew there were two girls under the table pulling my junk out of my pants, god I miss the old days LOL.
Cotton eyed Joes - if people back then knew just how dangerous a place this was no one would have ever gone there. It was owned by Joe Cammisano and ran by his son Joe Jr. If you guys know how fucking mean Willie Cammisano was, his brother Joe's temper was twice as volatile.

Johnny, I was thinking along those same lines. DD, you are one interesting guy and I very much enjoy your stories of the "old time" KC. Hope you're working on that book as we speak. I, also, would purchase that book!!
