'sup. Propimpus?
Aside from that, yeah, I dug Paul and Ringo, too. When they've gotten together in the past, Ringo would usually just come out and sing by Paul's side. This time he picked up the sticks (of course, there was another drummer to his right playing most of the major parts, but they kept him in the dark -- literally -- with Ringo in the spotlight, so the illusion was preserved).
Didn't know until last night that Joe Walsh was married to Ringo's sister-in-law. Those Bach girls are kinda pretty....

Joe aged pretty well, didn't he?
Guess it's that Rocky Mountain Way lifestyle, and all that entails.
Anyway, now I know why Joe is always on tour with Ringo. Always seemed like an odd pairing to me, before I knew the marriage link between the two.

Joe Walsh would fit in well on this board... anyone remember his song from 1983, "ILBT's ( I love big tits)"?
Ringo would not fit well.. he doesn't want to engage in activities, all he wants is a photograph..

I'm a big Beatle fan but was not impressed with Paul and Ringo's performance. I think they're saving the memorable stuff for the tribute show next month.
My favorite was Carole King and Sara Bareilles duet . I do like Pharrell. Beyonce is awesome as always. I can't stand JayZ.

LL Cool J: Licks his fucking lips TOO MUCH!!!!!!
Jamie Foxx: His joking around with Beyonce/JayZ was a huge bomb.
Metallica/Piano Guy: That song rocks, but that version...meh
Pink: Try standing on the ground and singing for a change...the air show is old

What I saw was horrible. Some really bad singing. I stopped liking Metallica after "Master of Puppets".
The Nike Rogers, Stevie, and Farrell thing was cool--well the music was good and funky.
My fucking Facebook blew up when the marriage thing started--which I enjoyed.
There's something about seeing zealots in a tizzy that really makes my day.

The short tribute to Lou Reed was nice. Also liked Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson Merle Haggard. The Chicago set wasn't too shabby either.

By far the best performance of the night was the one they cut off to roll credits and ads.
Metallica has now officially jumped the shark, IMHO. That was definitely their Fonzie performance. And yes, PINK lip-syncing from a swing is pretty pointless.
Overall, I was saddened by the state of the music industry as represented by the Grammies. the focus has shifted away from the music to the performance. Spare me the gimmicks and give me a half dozen talented musicians in jeans and t-shirts singing about a whole lotta love or the smell of teen spirit.

Nobody seems to want to be a folk singer anymore...guess it's just not flashy, blingy enough.
RIP, Pete Seeger...

I figure he watched the Grammies and then died of a broken heart after seeing the state of the so-called 'music' industry.

This was a shock. Daft Punk had to take their helmets off at LAX. Note the Texas Ranger hat.

My favorite type of music seems to be long gone. I guess it's a type of folk, but it's music where the words make you think. Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, CSN&Y, Moody Blues. It is a different culture now. Carry On.
