That's not entirely true, PHARMAguy, and you know it. You don't pay for shit when you sign up on the now-functioning website. You pay the insurance company directly AFTER you are contacted by them and are invoiced by them, both of which have happened in our case.
iF you qualify for any subsidy, you are given choices whether to take it, not take it, or use it as a tax credit when figuring out your annual return. Further you are given the option of how much to take.
