[QUOTE=Meerschaum;1052680925]I am a Gen Xer too, but I started on blues and graduated into classic rock stuff along with some of the 90s stuff.
Cool...knew some guys in a great 80's hard rock cover band in Chicago. They would do these 20 minute rock medleys that were out of this world. It go from Bon Jovi, to Rush, to Motely Crue, to Zeppelin and on and on with not stopping. Still listen to their CD often.
If you still play at clubs, lemme know. Love live music.

I have too many hobbies, but music is by far my #1. I love listening to prog, metal, and grunge but mostly stick to classical and jazz for performing. I am also into all things geeky although I keep the neckbeard trimmed so I can blend in with the normal folk lol

Are you a Mavs fan? I've become one moving down here. My company had a suite at a Mavs game this year against the Clippers. Great game. Mavs won in OT. Odom got booed everytime he touched the ball.
However...being from Chicago...this is my man and the best ever!

Not really. I was born and raised in Southern California, so I'm actually a Lakers fan. The only Mavs game I've been to, was last November when they played the Lakers. The only reason I went was because the seats were in the second row, behind the Lakers bench.

I was a Laker fan back when I was a kid with Magic, Worthy and Kareem...Showtime!
I was very conflicted on who to root for when the Bulls v Lakers NBA Finals back in '91. Had to pull for the ol' home team though. Plus, wanted to see Jordan win a title back then, and Magic had 5 already.

148 jumps in the military and probably 40 or so in the civilian world. I adore jumping out of perfectly good aircraft.

I doubt I will ever have 148 jumps. I usually jump every day when i am in Hawaii off the North Shore. I jump each morning from 15,000 feet when I am there and always try to do the HALO Jump from 25,000 feet. Is breathtaking to jump from the edge. Can't get much closer to God than that.
When I am done jumping I go to the other end of the airfield to fly gliders over the mountains. Gotta love the Trade Winds in Hawaii.

What island on Hawaii? I was just there in February. Love it there. On the big island, I took a guided tour to an active volcano with lava flow. Three mile hike to it on the craziest terrain you can imagine...cracks, crevices, etc. Here's a pic of what I saw. That was literrally taken 4 feet from the flow....
