In many cases what we put them through is self inflicted. It happens to all modtards, some learn from it .... others not so much. Basically, threads should be allowed a natural death.

What's not to adore with Anita and yourself? Both seem like they get it. Both like to play. There is nothing wrong with some good, old fashioned adoration and board lust.

If threads "spiral into stupidity" they will have a short life and do not need to be closed. When the thread goes "WAY" off topic then the modtard could redirect the thread to get it back on track, or just let it go ... Either way it is a choice.

That would be when it would be appropriate to get the thread back on track. But that does not mean closing a thread. Usually that can be accomplished thru a PM to bully/bullies or a post on the thread for the participants to back away for a breather. We are adults.
