Hobbying via face-to-face meet & greets, established routines on the boards, and known referrals and referencing is the better way to lower anxiety levels even if it means less "immediate" linking.

If you stick with CK's advice you should be fine. You did a good job of screening before we met--if you continue screening at the level it will reduce your risk considerably. In this hobby there is always risk but from what I've seen the ones that usually get in trouble got in trouble due to acting carelessly. Best of luck.

A valid question. And, one usually addressed in Econ 101. (Following info should not be considered sexist.) Sorry about the length of my response....

First, increase the "supply" of suppliers (e.g. providers) which happens almost regardless of the "demand" since virtually half the population has a "supply" and many of them habitually give it away until they realize there exists a "demand" willing to pay cash.

The "demand" folks likely to seek paid-"supply" are all over the place. Probably 75% or more are here on the 'net looking, looking, looking. At the present moment in time:

Currently Active Users: 6006 (2693 members and 3312 guests)

And a good number of the active members may well be "newbies" as certainly are those lurking as guests.

True newbie hobbyists (if they are registered) are able to search provider ad and posts for the words "newbie friendly" or even just "friendly" and the results will be more than enough for the newb to make some connections with a minimum of data passage.

Then he posts some reviews, gets vouched into other providers boudoirs and finally even score an invite into a San Antonio Meet & Greet (shameless promotion here, I might add) and thus meet even more folks active in the community. By then, of course, he is no longer a newbie!
