CLEAN HANDS DOCTRINE
Under the clean hands doctrine, a person who has acted wrongly, either morally or legally - that is, who has 'unclean hands' - will not be helped by a court when complaining about the actions of someone else.

Unclean hands can be used as an affirmative defense in cases where the complaint is equitable.

It is disgusting that people would use the clean hands thing against you. Little fuckers know the laws and know they can get away with it. You jerks aren't even being supportive. Probably just giggling with your hand in your pants. "hehehe..stupid bitches!"

I think it is pretty shitty on the dudes part. What I find amusing are the recommendations to go to small claims court. The best advice is from EM, just a occupational hazard. If you take credit cards this is going to happen.

This was a BDSM client no sex was exchanged..... He is into control with this client clothes don't come off... So i'm guessing it wouldn't be too hard to explain seeing as how i don't sleep with my BDSM clients...

Thanks I have never had this problem until recently with this one client. These guys know that I check everything and i cover my ass they also sign release from as bdsm is very different from the escort side of providing.

I won't take him to small claims court as the fees would add up to more than whats it worth.. I'm not going to send goons to get payment but i may consult with one of my lawyers to see what else i could do..

I would expect this from some cock sucker that doesn't know me however, a well respected client with very frequent appointments is just unacceptable. I treat all of my clients way too good to ever have a charge back... I don't even hound them for money and most of my guys will tell you sometimes they have to remind me to take my payment.

He had a great visit so it not like i had any reason to suspect he would cancel the payment.. I know some providers have stuff happen and the client was not verified, he was new, something else happened, she was leaving out details of what really happened... I think i agree with ElisabethWhispers, I have some more things to learn.

I kinda hate the fact that so many hobbyist complain that the girls are only about money clock watchers, bad service etc.. But what happens when you are a perfect provider, charge reasonable rates, excellent customer service,etc... And there's Cock suckers like my ex- client.... Maybe that's why some providers act the way that they do. Too many games.. Why couldn't he do this to a BP girl who doesn't screen...
i'll follow your advice and grow some thicker skin. I 'm aware i can't be so sensitive but good lord some of this B/S has to stop....

That guy is a complete dick, by the way.

Have you offered him an alternative to make things square? If so, did he not respond or offer any reasonable explanation (not that there is really a good one).

An established client? That surprises me, except nothing surprises me.

I did that already after trying to get him to pay it but with what i have seen with some clients are aware of the black list, it's not hard to make a new email, p411, new number barrow a friends id.. etc i' have seen it all... but long story short he has already been black listed...

True I did try to get an explanation but he did not respond at all. he has been seeing me over the past year quite often... Never once had a problem with him or anyone else.. It surprised me especially since I know everything about. at least meet in a hotel so i don't know where to find you... he didn't use a hobby phone either... i mean he's totally out there with info and still this..

Default That is why these fools do it.

The fools think that just because a lady is an escort that she does not deserve respect.

The probably giggle when they touch their peepee when it is time to urinate. Punks.

Unless you are reporting every penny of income to the IRS, I would just write off this guy. As someone above said, just consider this a cost of doing business. He could easily turn around and report you to the IRS for not reporting income and your credit card logs would go a long way to substantiating the claim. Keep under the radar and just be careful. Don't let these little issues eat you up.

Actually I keep a really clear ledger, Microsoft money, quick books, etc.. business account separate from personal i pay taxes on my earnings every quarter accordingly without fail and operate with a business that's in my name and I do report my money/ pay taxes on it as well I don't have a choice paying for certain things every year the irs does see that. therefore that's why I have a shell business and a another I operate on the side of that. So if he doesn't pay it i'll just write it off when I pay my taxes for this quarter..

you can use cc and be under the radar is you are smart. also he was a regular I don't expect that type of behavior from him. That's like me stealing a clients money not giving him his appointment then saying it comes with the business. Deal with it... it's not the money it's the fact that he did it and so when my other clients see no more cc's are allowed they are aware of why it has to be that way.
i have record for every penny i make and not to mention everything i spend money.. Ask some of my clients i am very stirck about business..

Why don't you explain it to them? I'm not sure how to word it except to go to small claims court, you have to have "clean hands". In other words, there cannot be illegal actions in the equation with the suing party.

Something like that. I'm sure that someone will have a much better definition.
What is at play is that a court will not enforce a contract to do an illegal act. For example, if someone is charging an illegally high interest rate, the court won't enforce that agreement (although they may force the borrower to repay the principal). A court won't enforce a contract to pay a real estate commission if the person isn't a licensed broker and it won't enforce a contract to sell counterfeit drugs. Similarly, a court won't force a monger to pay an escort for her services since prostitution is an illegal activity.

This troubles me. Why the bile toward us? The OP won't win in court, it's not a good idea to try to blackmail him (cops will enforce that law) and strong-arming him is even more dangerous. So, telling her that her options are limited isn't being supportive? We can emphasize with her predicament, and that is being morally supportive, but beyond that there is little she can do that won't create more problems for her.

There are scummy people in this world and no matter how hard you try to limit your risk, you are going to get burned every now and then. Don't sulk over it. Just learn your lessons and move on. Some day the guy will get his comeuppance.
