I'm on a roll here. Maybe it's the 10 Blue Moon Ales, but here's another toy I remember getting: "Major Matt Mason". When I was a little boy, the space program was a huge thing.
And the thing that took him around:

The only great memory of Christmas I have is harvesting trees to sell. Scrap going to the boy scouts to make reefs. And setting up the 11 foot one in the living room.
At risk of SweetE driving 2 hours or more to kill me. A female cousin I really did not get along with errrr to make a long story short I asked and got ether a Lilli or Barbie for X-mass. The next day I made a hangman's noose with a long boot shoe string. And hung the doll in a tree near her window. Dang did I take a belt ass whipping for that. Errr then she got doll. mmmm well that did not work out well.
timing mmmm it may have be a Lilli. If I had it now I would send it to ya Sweet E. But thinkin if I got to keep it, dang $2000 and up. I would have sold it.

I loved when my Dad set up the electric train around the Christmas tree.
I could sit and watch it go around in circles for hours.
I suppose today they would say I was autistic.
1952 much simpler times.

H O scale electric race car set. I never could part with it. I still have it, boxed away in my attic. I've always liked anything that goes too fast!
