WM, you have certainly been around long enough.
If you can't PM to discuss activities and time/rate, then when can you?
Once you've stepped in the door, discretely laid out the envelope, and gone into another room, say hi to either the roommate/pimp behind the shower curtain, and then return to discuss activities, you find out the envelope has done a Houdini, and nope that's not on the menu, oops, needed a couple of hours to prepare for that, so that one is out the window (unless you have another $100 and can excuse me for five minutes, I'll be right out).
So no, in my opinion, a PM is a good medium for discussion of a meaningful relationship.
Should it be in the initial PM for a new relationship? That is where a lady's spidey-sense should be tingling. So no, maybe in the initial PM rates/activities should not be the focus.
The initial should be more of a "hey, how you doing, I'm Wrangler Jeans, and I saw your last advert and that you have a special."
"I'm looking for a two hour tour, I'll bring the SS Minnow, you provide the peanut butter, mazola, and rubber sheets."
"Would you happen to have the Boston Pops version of the William Tell Overture, followed by the Rise of the Vakyries? I'm feeling a little kinky."
"My refs are hopefully not on strike, they are ......."
"Check me out, I'm looking to get together tomorrow, day after, next week."
"Let me hear back from you before the end of Jeopardy."
"BTW, I've heard what you would do for a Klondike bar!"
Now, not that I think that you can't do it, but try to figure out why something like above would not be answered.
