It would be interesting to see the actual data on the number of political ads to which we are exposed. My guess would be that we are seeing more ads. Not only do we have the ads by the actual candidates, but we are also subjected to ads by political action committees and various other groups. Nowadays anyone can run an ad for or against anyone or anything (whether it be true or not) as long as they can ante up the funds to pay for it. One of the downfalls of the freedom of speech we enjoy, but something we have to put up with.
