My ECCIE Reviews

I saw that on the news too. My jaw dropped-I have dreamed of In-N-Out coming here, but as I heard, the family that owns them claimed they would never build east of Vegas. Speaking of Vegas, whenever I go the first place I go after landing is the In-N-Out on Las Vegas Blvd. I take my order(extra fries!!) to the room and pig out before I hit the tables. When I used to live in L.A., my GF and I would always hit one on Sundays while we nursed our hangovers, since we always craved cheesy-greesy after a night of partying. H

I had the spicy polish with pastrami. Dr. Brown's Black Cherry.
There is something about watching your fries go from potato to your plate. You can't get any fresher than that.

I hit the In-N-Out every time I go to Vegas. Once I had a cab take me and wait while I ran in to get my order.....$35 cab ride that was worth every penny.

I have done the cab and limo ride to In n Out so many times in Vegas I lost count. On one of my trips where I brought along employees we had the limo driver take us from the airport to In N Out (Tropicana) and then to our hotel. Easier if you are staying at MGM or even Rio since it is right down the road.

In N Out has been on the expanse lately, I hit one up in Scottsdale a while back too, I wonder how well they're doing in Arizona as a whole, might shed light on how they might do here in Texas. I'll be in line for a 4x4.
For the Chicken and Waffles lovers, we have a Big Mama's Chicken and Waffles off Forest and Audelia/Skillman, somewhere in that area.

Firewheel Town Center is at the Eastern End of the George Bush Freeway/190, about five miles East of Central Expressway (at the intersection of 190 and State Highway 78). From most places in Plano, about ten minutes, maybe fifteen. If you live in North Dallas, Richardson, Plano or Garland, it's not a big deal-otherwise I'm not sure it's worth the trip. It's not Coors beer, lol.
I'll take a chance and speculate that, although they are starting in Garland and that provoked my "What?!", Simon Properties probably gave them a rockin' deal on floor space, and even though Garland is not a high end restaurant place, hamburger places and restaurants like On the Border are usually packed.
Bob is right about big time competition, though. I wonder if their crack demographic planners told them they will have a Scotty P's, Cheddars, Red Robin, MacDonalds, Whataburger and Sonic within three minutes of their new planned location.
Despite all that, I see a double double and chocolate shake in my future. The beauty of In N Out is a very limited menu, done well, and not giving much of an opportunity to people who can't decide what to eat to stare at the menu forever before ordering. Which burger? You want fries? Drink? In N Out!
Respectfully,
Jack

The development of a new restaurant with a drive thru takes about a year and thats if everything falls into place. The property will have to be replatted, a special use permit will be needed, along with obtaining the actual permits. Construction will then take about 120 days and thats if the weather is ok and no problems are encountered and there are always problems.
