I dined at Hattie's about two months ago. Very loud and I thought that it had gone downhill. Boulevardier has just opened. Food is pretty good, but again, it's just exceedingly loud.

The best advice that you've received is Lucia, Fearings', and Bolsa (also a bit loud). I'd also add Oak Restaurant, and Nonna (very, very good Italian and easier to get into than Lucia).

If you dig Asian fusion try Zenna off of Park rd. in Plano on the service road for 75, also there is Taste of Asia and a number of great pho places such as pho 95 (Arlington), Pho Palace (Arlington), for Japanese there is Kobe Steakhouse, for Chinese/Korean I suggest Royal Wok off of Royal Ln near 35E (obviously these foods are not Dallas-Fort Worth only cuisine but they are excellent places to eat in Dallas). If you like Mexican there are a few jewels to try, Mercado Juarez is awesome, Fuzzy's taco shop (I believe it is still DFW only), Los Amigos in Grapevine. There is also El Paisa, there is one off of Forest/Marsh (between webb chapel). Also another near Lewisville, one in Colleyville, they all specialize in something.

Also you might try Dixie House, that is a great family owned chain and in my opinion the ultimate greasy spoon southern cooking experience in a restaurant.

Shea and Dannie nice post. Thanks for the information. Bobby Flay is a good chef so anyone who can beat him should be pretty good.
