Paul Ryan is going to fuc you and just kick the can down the road. This is your Conserative of choice?
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/08/14/op...plan.html?_r=1
Mr. Ryan showed his conservative mettle in 2008 when he folded like a lawn chair on the auto bailout and the Wall Street bailout. But the greater hypocrisy is his phony “plan” to solve the entitlements mess by deferring changes to social insurance by at least a decade. A true agenda to reform the welfare state would require a sweeping, income-based eligibility test, which would reduce or eliminate social insurance benefits for millions of affluent retirees. Without it, there is no math that can avoid giant tax increases or vast new borrowing. Yet the supposedly courageous Ryan plan would not cut one dime over the next decade from the $1.3 trillion-per-year cost of Social Security and Medicare.

What about the 54 year old? He gets screwed? 55, but oh noooo, not 54 or 56...
I love the idea of the fair tax (just would like to see it detailed more) because I'm fed up with these arbitrary rules that aren't based on anything.

The liberals roll this out at every election to scare those on SS and Medicare yet no Republican or conservative has ever done a thing to either.
The Obama administration is robbing Medicare to the tune of over 700 billion dollars in order to make Obamacare appear less costly. This is money that has been paid in to the Medicare trust fund. Seniors should be very scared.....of Obama.

They are not arbitrary rules, they are based on who is paying for the politicans re election. Follow the money. Google Citizens United if you want to find out who will be getting the tax breaks in decades to come.

No; I think the Ryan plan offers the opportunity to stay in the Medicare program, or opt out........so you aren't being screwed i don't think......but IMO, opting to stay in the Medicare system, would be screwing yourself.

the ryan plan
there is no ryan plan
there was a wyden/ryan plan that passed the house and didnt pass in the senate...it was a compromise plan (as most things are, a compromise, except obamacare....which was one-sided only) that went nowhere...it is and has been dead
the plan is the romney plan...that is the plan romney is running on..that is the only plan at issue...ryan has signed on to the romney plan...the romney plan is no change in medicare whatsoever....save and except..restoring the 716 billion obama took out of it to mask the trauma that is obamacare
