Reading some of y'all's views on politics (and the mental health status of others) is almost as entertaining as all of the religious wingnuts trying to rationalize the Higgs Boson on twitter.

Romney all the way. A second Obama term is a very scary thought.

We have no accounting for where the money comes from that shows up as book royalties. No one would consider Obama a "best selling" author so my conclusion has been that the money's really from somewhere else, which has been the pattern of his shady finances, bizarre acedemic record, and personal identity all of his life.
Regardless of how each of them would govern it's a disgrace that someone of Obama's character would occupy the White House. It damages us all that he prevails by using evil methods. He's just a really bad guy; a sick guy like so many others who've lived there.
Romney's life history is actually exceptional. He's not perfect, but a decent and intelligent person. Maybe he'll be the "Gerald Ford" of our generation, but with a little more grey matter going for him.
The serious problem with having someone of low character in that position is that every time there's a crisis they always do the most destructive things because they don't care about consequences. What happens to anyone but themselves [or their family members and pets] is of no concern to them. Reagan was a funny exception in that he didn't care about thousands of lives been harmed by any particular thing, but when he saw one person in trouble somewhere who's name and face he knew he would move heaven and earth to assist them [guilt?].
If we had Presidents like Bush and Obama in the 1950s and into the 1960s there would have been a third world war - no doubt about it. Human civilization only survived because people of normal decency like Eisenhower and Kennedy were involved.

I think you may be right, TAE, but I disagree with the grey matter statement. Ford might have been flaky but ke stood for what he believed in. Romney stands for whatever the people he's speaking to want to hear.
Making matters worse, ge's not skilled enough to do it So that the pandered to don't know he's pandering to them. he's got money. But he's not smart enough to be my President!

so what exactly is the deal with Obama's college records? sucks that politicians get away with such subterfuge, and their followers ultimately don't give a shit about transparency.

Obama needs to go.
He is the great divider. He is saying that the rich need to pay more taxes but does not reveal that the taxes he would collect over 10 years would only pay for 8 days. The issue is spending. He is aware that if more people were working then revenues would increase. His agenda is to get more people hooked on gov't to promote his social agenda and turn us into Venezuela.
http://super-economy.blogspot.com/20...an-to-tax.html
His plan on raising taxes is going to cost jobs and put us in a deeper recession. Again, its the spending that is the problem.
http://blog.heritage.org/2012/07/18/...l-710000-jobs/
He has modified what qualifies for work for the purpose of collecting welfare. Work now includes bed rest, personal care activities, massage, exercise, journaling, motivational reading, smoking cessation, weight loss promotion, participation in parent-teacher meetings, or helping friends or family with household tasks and errands.

Oh and there is a reason why ObamaCare tax increases does not occur until 2013. He wanted to ensure his reelection because a majority of American's will believe his talking points and not read / research for themselves.
In addition, he has Harry Reid ensuring a budget is not passed or any issue that can be considered controversial be brought up at the Senate and utilizes finger pointing for his agenda. House Republicans have passed 27 jobs bills and the Senate refuses to address any of them.

And the Obama Lie that he IS NOT the biggest spender - does he really think we are all that stupid?

Of the many things Obama and Hitler have in common is that the bulk of their income comes from publishing a book.
After "Mein Kampf" was published in 1924 is was a flop and sold only 20,000 copies. But after Hitler became a dictator in 1933 everyone had to have a copy, thereby making Hitler wealthy. It was his only source of wealth however as Hitler held no other bank accounts or monies of any kind.
Having read many of Hitler's writings I doubt whether he really wrote "Mein Kampf." It's obviously far different from anything he ever said or wrote, and is a shabby work of party ideology. The authentic voice of Hitler can be found in "Hitler's Table Talk," which is a transcription of hours of conversations he had with guests at his home over several years.
Likewise Obama clearly didn't write "The Audacity of Hope" either.
Obama did write "Dreams of My Father," and from my perspective it's every bit as racist and hate-filled as "Mein Kampf" is said to be.

Obama still thinks this country is about black and white. Unfortunately, there are too many left-wing nuts that also believe that. Obama constantly praising Islam as a real religion is another reason to make him a one-term president. 4 more years of this. Obama is making bush look like a great president.

There's this little question of whether Obama claimed to be a foreign national for purposes of college admission.
There've been some inconsistencies about when he was where. I think it was Columbia that recently changed their story of when he was enrolled there, claiming that their original statement was in error.
It is almost 5 AM and I'm not fully operational, so don't take the above as gospel.
The hell of it is this: If the mainstream media had looked into the persistent rumors about John Edwards having an affair before the primary season got underway, Edwards would probably have been forced out before he won one of the early primaries. With Edwards out of the way, Her Dread Imperial Majesty In Waiting Hillary I would have won that primary, and it is likely that she would have taken the Democratic nomination.
Whether Hillary would have been better or worse for the US than Obama is an open question. McCain et al made all of their plans and preparations based on the assumption that Hillary would be the nominee, and were unable to adapt when the community organizer from Kenya got it instead.

And these folks who caused the problem in the first place are going to make it all better? Excuse me! The Bush tax cuts were supposed to stimulate job growth...hmmm...flat job creation in the US for 8 years, but big job creation where folks work for fifty cents an hour, like Asia. Disingenuous is too nice a word for the 'he's a socialist/communist' dogma spewed by the right. Unfortunately some of my fellow hobbyists have consumed the Kool-Aid. Clinton left Bush with a surplus budget. Bush crammed 2 wars, 2 tax cuts and a huge giveaway to Big Pharma down our throats with his 100% powerplay the first six years of his presidency, and put it all on a Chinese Mastercard. If any of you people want to actually do the work why don't you try to find out where the money was spent, and who wound up with it. Please do it with an open mind. I hear misogynist and racist rhetoric creeping in here, and what we really need is some good, applied logic solutionism. (My word). If all you are interested in is not paying taxes, or not being a member of the WHOLE community, just say so. Don't try to hide behind some crappy, junior high school name calling. Oh...and take responsibility for the actions of the folks you elected in 2000!

I've called Obama a one term president. I'll say the same for Romney. And whomever beats him in four years. We have this little problem where the primaries make the candidates kiss the asses of the extremists and leave the rest of us hanging out in the wind. I'm pro choice. I'm pro gun. I favor fighting terrorism, but Iraq was a charlie foxtrot and the DHS is an abomination against nature. You ever been fucked in the ass by an elephant? Then you haven't flown in the past eight years. The concept of FISA was great, but it's been abused, as has any extraordinary power the government has taken. Obama criticized Bush for his extra judicial executions (his words) of al Qida heads using drones (sounds so much nicer than Predators). But he's had more strikes in the last year than Bush did in his last four. And, of course, we'll never really know whether bin Laden was killed in a fire fight (most likely) or executed (conspiracy theorists).
The whole thing is, our so called leaders don't really give a flying fuck and I really don't believe we'll have a change until we do some radical changes as to how we elect them. Not regime change, I'll be shooting to keep Obama in office if he wins and shit comes down. "None of the Above". Party free elections. Multiple candidates. That sort of thing.
