Ignoring the troll post. . .
The topic is cost of a keystroke and typos in the hobby. Perhaps you have had an experience in the hobby with a typo that led to quite a situation. Here is mine:
About three years ago I was cruising the Eros Ohio ads and saw a gal that looked familiar and sure enough it was a gal that was trying to reinvent herself with a new persona and website. I had not seen her regularly, but fairly often. I decided to proceed and examined her website where I found her rate page.
Ultimate GFE
1 hour. . . . . .$175.00
1.5 hours . . .$250.00
2.0 hours. . . .$325.00
2.5 hours. . . .$400.00
Overnight . . . . . $500.00
Wow! I went ahead and booked the overnight. We went out to dinner first and had a great time, then we had our first BCD session and it was awesome. I was snoozing a bit, and I guess she was freshening up and had picked up the white envelope and counted in the restroom. She came out and nudged me and said we had to talk. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and sat up in bed as she sat on the corner.
"Was this just the deposit?"
"Huh?"
"There is only $500.00 in here and my overnight rate is $1,500.00."
I tried to remain calm, but I am sure there was some edge in my voice and I told her that her website said differently. She didn't believe me. I went to my luggage, opened up my laptop and plugged into the very slow wired server in the room and pulled up her ad, and sure enough it was as I thought. she stared at it, and it was as if she was blaming me for her typo.
"That's should say $1,500.00. I must have slipped up and missed the key. Can you go down to an ATM and get the rest?"
"No."
"What do you mean by no?"
"Your published rate was $500.00. I am sorry if it is a mistake, but you know I would not have booked an overnight, I don't even like doing them. Heck, I am still not ready for a second round with you and we finished an hour ago. . ."
"The rate is for my time, not how many times we. . ."
"I know that. What I am saying is your rate is clearly. . ."
"You know there was no way I am doing an overnight for just $500.00. What were you thinking? You should have asked me if you were confused."
"Confused? It is the rate you posted--it is right there. Look at it. I am supposed to read your mind?"
"Well, I. . ."
You get the idea. Suffice it to say she finally relented and agreed she had to honor the rate, but of course the session went downhill from there and the chemistry was GONE.
I learned a couple of lessons that night.
1) Never book an overnight. Even without the typo the reality is familiarity breeds contempt and there is always the chance your GFE will be
TOO REAL and you fight with your provider just like you do with an actual girlfriend.
2) Elmore Leonard said it best in one of his novels:
"It is better to fall in love an hour at a time." You are not paying her to have sex with you, you are paying her to leave after you have sex.
3) If it seems too good to be true, it is.
4) If you suspect an error, or some other vague description: Ask. Better to be up front, even if a little awkward, with a provider than to have a misunderstanding in the midst of your session that ruins the whole evening.
5) Don't be a prick. Even a pro provider is a human being with feelings and moods. They are not sexbots. If you piss them off, even with a legitimate concern or complaint, you will ruin your session. Try to be a bit more smooth in how you address a problem. I was an asshole that night and it got me a lackluster effort from her.
The shame of it was she was a hot little number that was quite skilled and we once had pretty good chemistry. Like a champ she agreed to finish the session, but her heart was not in it and the mood was over for both of us. We never saw each other again. There was not any hostility or animosity between us, I just think we reminded each other too much of the fact this was a business transaction and it was hard to get back the illusion of passion, or even fun for that matter.
why didn't you just man up a couple of days ago when I called you on it? I think if at that time you'd said someting like,
