Well, I'd say kudos to samantha for honesty. In our over-homogenized world, honesty is refreshing.

That being said, the gentleman in question might have been tipsy, sleepy, or clueless (hence the zero reviews as he is a newbie). I think a gentler response might be a better business decision. Us guys are delicate creatures....somewhat dim, single-minded, and immature, bit still delicate!

I looked at your profile on eccie and p411 and I'm going to have to side with the gentleman on this one as I could've made the same honest mistake (except for the part of him mentioning incall as you had made that clear). When you state "flexible scheduling", "after 4pm (outcall)" and "Newbie Friendly" on your p411 profile, I can hardly label his request as disrespectful.

Just because you view 1am as an "ungodly hour" doesn't mean everyone else does. And with a 10am start time, I personally wouldn't think that was completely crazy for him to think a 1am appointment could be possible.

To avoid this ambiguity in the future, perhaps you should change your availability to "4pm to 10pm" or something like that to make it clear.

I still don't get it?? What did he do that was wrong? I could understand if he were texting or calling you that late, but come on, it was a P411 appointment request. Am I missing something here?!?!?! Sorry babe but you're coming across as rather arrogant (Glad to know that you don't need everyone's business). I'm certain that many of us reading this thread will keep that in mind.

Again I can CERTAINLY understand being pissed if it were a phone call or text but sorry a p411 request, even at 1 AM is not being rude. Heck, I have sent many during that time of the night because I am actually able to have some "me" time during those hours.

You may be a great gal and a nice person, but in this instance you are the one being rude and are lacking in the good etiquette department.

I've seen you, and liked you very much... but I think you are assuming that we know when you wish to be contacted, and are available.

Your ECCIE profile says:
MY SCHEDULE:
MONDAY - FRIDAY: 10AM - 4PM (INCALL); AFTER 4PM (OUTCALL)

Note that you are stipulating that after 4pm is outcall. I've met many ladies who would have no problem with 1am.

Your P411 profile gives the same schedule, but also says, "Availability: Flexible Scheduling".

I think you're a very nice lady, but I think you are being a bit unrealistic in expecting us to determine that 1am is "rude and disrespectful". Why don't you place a full time range in your ad, perhaps 10 or 11pm?

Also, the P411 request is an email. I do not view email as being an imposing contact method. It isn't like he called, or even texted. If you are annoyed at such an email at 1am, why answer it right then?

Perhaps you'll view me as yet another clueless, rude and disrespectful guy... but, I think the problem is that your profiles do not say you would not see him them, as a matter of fact they say that scheduling is flexible. Yet you think he should know you couldn't see him then, and if he had read your profile would somehow know this. There's one person here coming to a wrong conclusion, it wasn't the male...

Ok...this part I'm the one who is clueless. I did not know women see men that late. (??) I had no clue. I didn't even think to put a stop time. Thought it goes without saying that 1am is way too late, not to mention the short last minute notice unless you're a 24/7 on-call physician or IT person called for emergency. I will specify on my profile now. I could be online answering email during late at night relaxing but having an appt that late...I don't want to do. Thanks for all the input! and no, don't be sorry...no one lost cause no one did anything he/she didn't want to do.
