you forgot the punch line... Many of you are now fired, I'm cutting your inflation adjusted pay raises, and don't let the door hit you on the way out.
Why does every democratic president cut the military back? We just spent 10 years of the democrats harping about the stretched thin miltary and the over reliance on the reserves and National Guard. So the new plan is using up the National Guard and reserves even more.

Responsible Budget
That is simply setting a responsible budget for this country at a time when we are so deeply in debt.
The Defense Department has sucked up much more money than it needs with super modern fighter jets and monstrous navy warships.
We simply must set our economic house in order before we follow Europe into the abyss.
. . . We can certainly do that without firing the heroic navy seal teams.

Who supports those SEAL teams? Those jets that you don't like. How do those SEAL teams get to their assignment? Those monstrous Navy ships that you don't like. Both the ships and the jets are supported by a logistics chain that stretches back to the US. Clinton found out what happens when you mess with the chain. Sailors die and ships get bombed. The USS Cole was being refueled in port because Clinton had decommissioned all, ALL of the navy's oilers! Some of them were only 7 years old! We lost the capability of supporting our ships at sea and that made them vulnerable. Having said that, Clinton was a military genius next to this guy. Obama wants get rid of the old ships. What old ships? Once again, Clinton took care of that. The USS Enterprise is our oldest carrier at 50 years old. It is the only one of her class. The next oldest carrier is the USS Nimitz at 36 years old. The oldest surface combatant is the USS John Hall. She is a frigate and is 30 years old. The oldest submarine is the USS Bremerton at the age of 30 years old. The oldest gator, not scheduled for decommission, is the USS Peleliu at 31 years of age. Like I said, no oilers since Bill Clinton. It was our mobility that allowed us to win the war in the Pacific.

If this shit is so easy and able to be undertaken on a whim just to help get a political ratings bump WTF didn't Shrub do it to Bin Laden, and the whole deck of Terrorist playing cards plus all those prior Somali Pirates, J.D.?
Piss on that attitude! Sounds a whole lot more like sour grapes because someone is a better president than both of the Bushes put together!
There IS no other reason except hatred and abject stupidity evident in many posts here for anyone to make that assertion!

This is funnier. Personally, I think Obama and W are neck-in-neck for ineptness, but Daddy Bush was a good president.

The only like-minded comment I'll make is that 41 was far better than 43 but both rank behind Obama in terms of dealing with the imploding country he inherited.
GM now ranks as the number one auto-maker in the WORLD (saving and adding to AMERICAN jobs). GM would not be here and we would have lost our ability to compete with Japan and Korea without the "bailouts" everybody is cursing.

Maybe we didn't have a team of operators nearby? Maybe the logistics and support associated with a mission like this takes some time to put together? Maybe because the decision was made that the risk associated with any mission like this was outweighed by the concerns about the hostage's health....which they just found out about?

Maybe , maybe , maybe , maybe.... maybe they just waited 'till the beginning of an election season!

You heard it here first!!*Has anyone been monitoring the sales lots, lately?
Hey.... Barry did a good thing... a fine job, approviing the raid.... but that's what HE IS SUPPOSED TO DO !!*That's his fucking JOB!!

Your first comment disqualifies you as a critical thinker. Please date "the election season". What a pinheaded comment.

Monumental Task
You've hit the nail squarely on the head, Stevie.
Finding these elusive terrorists is one of the most difficult missions a country can undertake. They hid in caves like cockroaches and get support from sympathetic countries.
Bush could never find Bin Ladin and the numb-nuts didn't even know in what country to look for him, but now that President Obama has taken out the world menace, the entire Republican field of clowns can only downplay the significance of the monumental task.
. . .That attitude only makes them appear small to the eyes of the world.

C'mon Stevie.... you're a little slow tonight!!*My point was, the "election year" comment was no more pinheaded than the rest of those lame "maybe's"!!
Obama didn't do a fucking thing, except take the advice from military intelligence.... the SAME military that has always been in place!*He didn't pick the intelligence team!!* HE ONLY DID HIS JOB.... no more!* That's why we pay the phucker!

Wow Obama did do anything except give the order right?? So if this thing would have come crashing down half the Seals killed the other half captured you would have said this isn't Obamas fault right.
I starting to believe there isn't anything he could do that would please you.

What budget? Where is the budget? As far as I know, President Obama has submitted only one budget to Congress, and it was voted down almost unanimously. What budget are you talking about?
And how long do you think it will take us to follow Europe into the abyss if we don't stop increasing the National Debt?

Your comments are not worth a response except their apparent stupidity helps reveal to others how wrong you are.
I didn't recall Leon Panetta being Secretary of Defense and then CIA Chief under Bush's failed tenure but I'm sure someone as brilliant as you can recite THE REST of the intelligence team Obama didn't pick and the one he just sat around waiting to hear from like Shrub.
Grow a brain.
