You're right Dear John the first fifteen minutes of Rome are great! He moves along fast and gives his opinions on all the sports happenings! Then he gets too long winded on shit and his interviews are horribly boring! The smack off is great! Josh Iness is so annoying and obnoxious he's a Rome wanna be! Another annoyaning sports radio guy I'd like to see go is Dylan the mighty Gwinn! This guys voice drives me away everytime I hear it! He sounds so fake and contrived! He's on 790!

I guess Travis Rodgers is a better producer than the Real World pretty boy. If Rome lost a prominent affiliate like Houston, he probably isn't going to be on the air anywhere before too long.

Yeah.... I think those 2 are linked..... T-Rodge is LEGIT! I have enjoyed him ever since he got onto 1560..... Rome tried to "tone it down" too much and lost track of what got him there..... It is not really that big of a surprise..... but yeah.... Houston goes away (which was one of his biggest and strongest affiliates) then he will no doubt be off the radio here soon.....

T-Rodge was the first producer on the Rome show until he was without warning let go a couple of years back so Rome's bromance Kyle Brant could be brought in.

I may be in the minority but I think KILT is making a HUGE mistake. It was usually good to get a national perspective aside from all the homer talk. The jocks on KILT are boring and all they are doing is adding more boredom to the day. I'd rather listen to Jim Rome than Mike Meltser any day. Just my opinion

Almost every single person who testifies that they hate Jim Rome are either:
1. Gym Guy
2. Bracket Guy
3. Softball Guy
4. Fantasy League Guy
5. Wear a Lizard or a Snake to a Party Guy
6. Fight Guy.
7. UFC Guy.
Just kidding. Couldnt resists. To many leganday, "Dear Rome. I followed you from day one but after your Gym Guy rant, you crossed the line sir".

Your absolutly right. Listen to Smack from the late 90s and just listen to what people got away with then. Lately, Jimmy BLOCKED!!! BLOCKED!!! BLOCKED!!! calls for small things.

Give Rome's absence two weeks. If you still don't like it, give it another two weeks.

Even though I liked Jim Rome, he was very hypocritical. He blasted that FOX BCS Announcer who had a man crush on Timonthy Tebow. But then he turns around and does it for ok interviewees. For instance, Sam Bradford.
"That interview was PHENOMINAL! Now that is a professional. What a legand. That was a great great great interview. It was Momentous. It was an EXCELLENT INTERVIEW. It was all time. It was PHENOMINAL!!!The city of St. Louis is lucky to have that type of man right there. Your thoughts when we come back".
The funny thing is no one called to talk about the interview.

For me, when talk show hosts get too full of themselves, it's time to get rid of them. I think Rome is way past his sell-by date.

I agree BP.
After hearing the new show today -MAD Radio, I'm ok with it, but wondering if I'll get bored with Meltser and Davies either. The only problem I have with all local talk is we might not get some of the national sports now. Also it seems all the local radio show hosts all talk about the same stuff. I like Rich Lord and Vandemeer the most. Lopez, Innis and Davies annoy me....

Is there a talk show host that has his/her name in the show's title that ISN'T full of themselves? I'd like to know.

And he "got too full of himself" a long time ago. Stale bs is about all you hear anymore.
