Regardless of the violence we've seen on video, or the dudes who were just milling around inside- not everything was moving as a pure siege, but the real intent was to disrupt the counting of votes- and they were urged to act out by their leader, and his accomplices.
Oh....the dead horse has been beated 2x's to death here. If the political leader of the right, didn't incite them to run down to the capital, then who exactly did? Was it Ray Epps?? Was it the proud Boys? Does it matter?
Did they still break through barriers? Yep.
Did they still trespass on the capital grounds, and break windows and doors and other assorted damage to property etc.? Yep
The reality is these ppl were put in front of a judge and had a chance to defend themselves. Some were indeed caught up in the bad actions of others, and some were bad actors. Those who were notorious and bold about their actions, are paying the price.
FAFO. That's what happened. I don't think DJT will pardon any of these, and even if they are pardoned, they will still be convicts of who committed crimes at the capital. They would just get an early releast, but not before late January 2025 should the menace win.
