I agree haggling is inappropiate with a provider but that this is America statement and we don't haggle is a little too much. Price discussion with class is mandatory if you want to succeed at anything in the business world. Now how you do it is as important. Both cost money to operate.
If you don't treat them right, they'll leave you stranded.
Both need lubrication.
The newer models always seem to be more popular.
When you get a new one, got to be careful and break it in.
When they get old they become classics.
They both some times have junk in the trunk.
Take them off roading and they can get a little banged up.
You have your race cars and your comfortable rides.
Neither one likes it if you piss in the gas tank.
Driving recklessly in both can lead to being thrown.
Both have bumpers and head lights.
A fun trip in both will put a smile on your face.
Both need to be warned up before you race them.

One will hire an attorney take half your stuff and tell you that you have a small dick, the other......

Why is it inappropriate to negotiate with a provider? Most people negotiate the price of a car, home, what they pay their nanny to take care of their kids, price of a wedding venue, cable services, etc. I provide a musical service and am haggled all the time. It is a part of doing business. There is a rock bottom that I won't go for example but at the end of the day as long as I still make a profit, I am ok with that.

I just find it funny that we negotiate prices with all kinds of business but when it comes to the business of pussy, its in bad taste!

There is just something low class about it to me. If you want to pay less then wait for a special or get someone in that price range. I usually get about 6 calls a week with providers offering me a special. I do believe there are providers out there that are overpriced so I just choose not to see them.

I'll listen to some negotiations. A lot of the time those work out in both the client's and SP's favour if it is reasonable.
Haggling is untactful but I expect it. I don't get that pissed off about it. Everyone looks for a deal and you'll never know if you don't ask.

Look at it this way...
If someone asks for a deal on a new car, are you going to bang it up so it doesn't work as well before you sell it? ... Didn't think so.
So when someone asks for a deal and you AGREE then the level of service should be the same as if you were paying full price. Otherwise, don't agree to it.
