The collab is between a viral marketing company and LNX to create shoes that will capitalize on the buzz tied to the video LNX released which featured him seducing and replacing Satan. Custom Air Max 97's happen all the time. You not being aware of it isn't shocking. Nike didn't design them, didn't endorse them, and didn't release them. They sold a stock product that someone else customized and are selling for $1,018 a pair.

Nike has gone on record stating that they don't endorse them. They don't have to file a C&D to not support them. Even if they did you'd find an issue with that too.

And MSCHF is the same team that did the Jesus shoes.

Nike could demand they take the swoosh of the shoe. It’s their brand. I haven’t bought Nike shoes in over 30yrs. They are undersized. Which means I would have to go to at least a size 14. Anyways, I don’t follow Nike shoe models. I simply don’t care what models they make. Although I thought their Betsy Ross shoe was nice. But they listened to Colin Kapeornick and cancelled them. Go figure.

If nike didnt want this shoe being marketed they have the legal right to stop it. It doesn't take a genius to figure that out.... hence they approved the marketing of it.

This shit just got announced the other day, and the furor and hype around them is driving up demand. If Nike goes hard at them, any that make it into the market will resell for oodles and oodles of dollars.

I’m sure Nike knew about it before the project started. They could have nixed it then. They chose not to. Speaks volumes. Nike obviously doesn’t care. They’ve catered to Kapeornick, they’ve alienated people before. They don’t shy away from controversy. Maybe one day it will backfire on them. I’ll give you credit for moving in the right direction.

Yes, this little grift backed fired. Nike new this was going on but decided until after the release until they filed suit. Lil Nas will get more publicity from this stunt than his “music”. Nike got publicity too. Mission accomplished.
