But, then being spent immediately on rent, mortgage or Credit Card bills

BTW, if anyone got last May's payment direct deposited, this time around it may actually be in same account Monday, Jan 4th. I know of two folks that can see an available funds note on their on-line bank accts.

As for the M1/M2 numbers, yes those are a concern. Further back in time aggressive increases of that crap was a prelude to inflation.

The M1/M2 balancing act to support economic growth vs inflation is the entire reason the Fed manages the base interest rate. Looking at industrial production last fall, the economy had started to recover again, even with covid. Thus, the most recent M1/M2 numbers can easily start an inflation run, I think sooner than most think.

At the current interest rate, there's no where to go but up. Thus, I suggest anyone with a mortgage of more than 2.75 refi asap simply to protect themselves.

A Co-worker of mine just got his second $600 stimulus payment into his bank account. He used the $600 the first time for a provider and said he used the second one on a hooker too. He said, "that's what Trump would do."

So to answer your question, no I don't think it is staying in bank accounts. I think people are spending it.

I'm gonna door dash a fuck ton of food, like ice cream and shit. Stuff I usually don't buy. I could easily blow 300 dollars on that alone. Do you guys have a favorite ice cream?

This country does not have the money to give out stimulus checks. We have no choice but to print money and increase the money supply. We are going to deflate the dollar value globally and increase inflation domestically. And yes, I majored in Econ in undergrad and that's all I'll be saying about that to keep it simple regarding the money supply increase because I'm not getting paid to explain more.

We are printing money in this country now. They rarely announce it but it is obvious. Hyperinflation is already occurring where I live and probably where many others live.

I think too many are looking short term instead of long term on the economy and inflation.


Paul Volker killed inflation in Jimmy Carters Presidential term. Part of the reason things got hit so hard is people thought interest rates wouldn't go higher and they took long term loans for land and mortgages out with variable interest rate loans. Since that time more people have used fixed interest rate loans and refinanced as rates came down. We are still in a long term flat interest rate time period like happened in the 1930's to 1950's. Most of the " inflation " that seems to be occurring is government driven costs from increased regulation and taxes on business. This isn't really inflation and incomes are not increasing to handle the increased costs.
