When shown proof you log off or say "If you say so".

Dems may have started KKK but like many other concepts, repubs sized them for their own.

Everyone knows that.

You're just acting stupid.

Fact.

You don't know do you? Dixiecrats were universally democrats who did not like Truman's (there's a real democrat) integration of the armed forces. I don't know how you define minor but one democrat congressman did join the GOP. Once again the exception proves the rule...The Democrat party is the party of racism. David Duke...He started as a democrat and a racist and a white supremacist and a neo Nazi who denied the Holocaust (like Antifa) and thought the Jews ran everything like BLM. He also had an epiphany about race in the 1980s. He became a republican and do you know what? Duke rarely makes the media except when they try to trot out what he did 40 years ago as a criticism of the GOP today. A weak ass attack. Kennedy integrated Alabama? Democrats on democrat warfare. Mention when republican Eisenhower forced democrat Faubus to integrate Little Rock high school. Or when the republicans ended slavery, or when the republicans voted to give women the right to vote, and when the majority of republicans voted for the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
The democrats look bad and foolish by comparison.

JFK is rolling over in his grave with the way you assholes are behaving. The Democrat Party is nothing but a criminal Cartel. You people deserve nothing but bad days ahead.

Yep. A true trumpy.

David Ernest Duke (born July 1, 1950)who As a democrat is an American white supremacist, far-right politician, convicted felon, and former Grand Wizard of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. He has advocated Neo-Nazi and anti-Semitic conspiracy theories like Holocaust denial and Jewish control of academia, the press, and the financial system.[3][4] The Anti-Defamation League has described Duke as "perhaps America’s most well-known racist and anti-Semite".[5]

Duke unsuccessfully stood as Democratic candidate for state legislature during the 1970s and 1980s, culminating in his campaign for the 1988 Democratic presidential nomination. After failing to gain any traction within the Democratic Party, Duke left and successfully gained the presidential nomination of the minor Populist Party.

In December 1988, he became a Republican and claimed to have become a born-again Christian, renouncing racism and anti-Semitism.[6] He soon won his only elected office, a seat in the Louisiana House of Representatives. He then ran unsuccessful but competitive campaigns for several more offices, including United States Senate in 1990 and Governor of Louisiana in 1991. His campaigns were denounced by national and state Republican leaders, including President George H.W. Bush. He mounted a minor challenge to President Bush in 1992 and has continued to run for public office through 2016, though his campaigns have become increasingly marginal.

During the 1990s, Duke defrauded his political supporters by pretending to be in dire financial straits and soliciting money for basic necessities. At the time, Duke was in fact financially secure and used the money for personal investments and recreational gambling.[7] In 2002, Duke pleaded guilty to felony fraud and subsequently served a 15-month sentence at Federal Correctional Institution, Big Spring in Texas.[8]

Crime is one thing but we were talking about race. Don't change the subject.
If you want we could start a new thread about ABSCAM, the savings and loan scandal, post office gate, Rostenkowsky, Edwards, and Blagovich.

Don't worry, it's just a name like Lady Antebellum, Dixie Chicks, or the Washington Redskins. You can still be just as racist and disgusting as always.

Oh dear! Are the dim-retards in this forum once again trying to sweep the long racist history of their party under the rug by perpetrating the MYTH of the BIG SWITCH??

Well then, it must be time to invite Dinesh D'Souza to make an appearance as an eccie guest speaker and straighten out you liars!

Here ya go, start @ 32:30 to hear him debunk the Big Switch. Then be sure to go back and listen to the rest of his excellent expose of the sordid and disgusting history of the dim-retard party!

When did Trump "fail to be elected"?

When did Trump go to "the far right"?

Is excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages an antidote for Covid19?

Is that why liquor stores and bars are "essential" businesses?

You are apparently not old enough or sufficiently observant to have been personally aware of the strangle hold the Southern Democrats retained on the Southern states throughout reconstruction and afterwards. Neither are you sufficiently informed of "fire walls" created in State Constitutions by the Democrats in the South to prevent their political and governmental preferences from being overturned by the Republican carpetbaggers invading the South.

Has someone invoked the "Kennedy" name and race relations: JFK did not want to support any Civil Rights legislation while he was President, because he thought to do so would cause him a 2nd term by losing the Southern Democratic vote.

George Wallace was a Democrat! He was elected as Governor.

You fruit loops can tear down statues, but you can't rewrite your history!

John F. Kennedy was not a segregationist. George Wallace and Strum Thurmond were. Thurmond joined the republican party, he should have taken his buddy with him. The dixiecrats or "bluedog democrats" should have had their own party. Instead they quietly joined the republican party after LBJ put in the Civil Rights Act. The republican party of today is full of seperatists, KKK, aryan nation mixed in with the Rhinos who are not segregationists.

If the democrats only give blacks so much rope so that they are forced to stay in the projects, how did Ben Carson get out of the projects to become a doctor who was head of Neuro Surgery department at Johns Hopkins Hospital. If the republicans in the south were equal opportunity for all, then why did they condone Jim Crow segregation all those years. Why did republican southern whites condone the killing white and black freedom riders. Lusty, your guy is just trying to sell a movie, he is not selling the truth.

The switch happened after LBJ got the Civil Rights Act passed. The dixiecrats left the democrat party and joined the republican party just like Strom Thurmond. Did i hear your guy mention the word mulatto, seems like Thurmond wasn't the only repubtard hooking up with black women.

Why would a guy like Kennedy be a segregationist? He never had an inconvenience in his life growing up and was on the top of every social scene he entered. He was like an early 60's version of Jay Gatsby's privileged son - and the only thing he knew about black folks was that they lived in poverty in the South and owed him their votes.
