One of the Fox moderators yesterday said something like "you only paid tax at a 26% rate, so why don't you donate some to the U.S. Treasury." Bernie hemmed and hawed around and got a little irate. That chaps my ass, some of these hypocrites who want to raise everyone's taxes except their own. He's not as bad as John Kerry, the U.S. Senator and Secretary of State whose wife is a billionaire. He and his wife used to (and probably still do) pay less federal tax than some of us who are comparative peons, because she had most of her fortune in Municipal Bonds and stock that didn't pay much in the way of dividends. Taxes are just for the stupid people, not for the Democratic Party elite.
They also said Bernie donated about 3.5% of what he made to charity. He appeared to be very proud of that. It doesn't sound like a lot for someone who's making $500,000 or a million a year.
