I know a few ladies including oneself that uses airbnb to locate and rent private homes ( thus eliminating the traffic issue as the neighbprhood knows its a airbnb location and expect multiple random vehicles) just make sure your rental doesnt include the owner on site i dont like apartments in rw or hobbywise... To many wayy to close to my bubble. Im to private i dont want to even have to pass glances going to my car.

Gates complexes would be best with guest parking as close as possible. Preferably off IH 10 between 610 & BW8 area is good but not too close to the Galleria traffic jams.
