It seems you did NOT read my post? Where did it say anything about money? The topic is not about those that use the board to make money but about Lauren Summerhill departing. I simply said some people take this board a little too seriously and I was not referring to those that use it for work but those that go on and on about a member departing/they take this board a little too seriously in that sense. If someone leaving the board bothers you so much, why not you being a friend of theirs ask them to come back or simply call them on the phone? The person is not dead. They just decided to delete their account on a website and it's a big deal? Anger over someone leaving a hooker board is silly to me. There is much more to life than someone's posting on an escort board.

This is directed at one particular griping person and I think you know who you are, but I'll leave the message in general terms for maximum coverage.

The problem is not so much about any one person leaving as it is about how boards such as these sometimes create a hostile environment which cause people to leave in protest. When that happens, it diminishes the quality of the board.

Maybe even that does not bother you, but it bothers me.

In high school there would always be bullies who preyed on people and unfortunately we still have some of those people around here who derive a perverse sense of pleasure in bashing other people.

. . . That predatory culture was pervasive on the old aspd board, but I do not think that reasonable people want that corrosive environment perpetuated on this board.

That is the core of the problem that I see brewing here and Lauren's protest was a symptom of that serious problem that we need to resolve.
