A house that has never changed hands, who has homestead exemption, and owners who fight tenaciously will have a lower tax liability than an exact same house that changed hands and refloated to the 'market' value. That is technically against the law.

Possibly. Depends on how long ago the house changed hands. IF not in the recent past, then eventually that house will be assessed like other houses the same size. Secondly, I would bet all homeowners apply for a homestead exemption. I certainly agree that a person going into the tax office every year and battling the tax assessors might win every now and then. Can't hurt.
Your argument on "market" value is a difficult one. If a house in my neighborhood with the exact floor plan as mine but with tens of thousands of dollars of upgrades sells for what it's worth, I wouldn't expect my house to be assessed the same as that house. I'm not sure if that's what you meant by "technically against the law".
Whatever the case, home assessment is not an exact science.

I have nothing against diversity, but there's nothing wrong either with people wanting to be with their own kind. There are clubs and organizations for asians and blacks and women that exclude everyone else, so if a bunch of rich white christians want to be together too who am I to say it's wrong. Little double standard here I think.

Attitudes towards blacks and Jews was quite a bit different in the 1950s than they are today. I belonged to a private swim club and there were no blacks allowed. And this was in NY. Today, that same swim club would allow people of any color. There still are many clubs that are, like you say, exclusive to rich, white Christians. That is their right. I don't agree with it but it also does not bother me.

Amen. I'm not religious, but President Trump has been a God-send to America. Once the ACA is repealed and replaced, we'll finally be rid of President Obama's failed legacy. And if the guy wants his taxes cut, great. He's already losing a ton of money he could have made by not becoming POTUS. Besides giving the money to Westchester County and NYC governments...might as well be pissing it down the drain. Big reason why I left that area of the country almost 20 years ago.

I don't know who you're referring to. I'm not a "Trumpette." But over the past few months I've began to see his strident critics as unhinged, thin skinned, hypocritical, totalitarian, dishonest hacks whose open and aggressively inhuman displays of SJW insanity created Trump in the first place, and are very probably driving more people to support him now. I mean - when you can't escape this fanciful nutbar graffiti on a site like this, maybe it's become a bit too much, eh?

For somebody who claims to not like it much, he's pretty damned good at it.
Bravo, bubba!
