Good luck with that.
It's going to really be expensive, plus the dealers getting the first ones in will add on a 'market adjustment' for those who have to be the first kid on the block with the newest toy. So you might want to wait awhile.
Jeep is coming out with a Trackhawk, which is a Grand Cherokee with the 707 horsepower Hellcat engine.
Brooke, if you really want to haul ass, there are some really good deals on brand new Hellcat Chargers or Challengers. They are knocking several thousand dollars on those. The best bang for the buck is the Camaro SS or any new Vette. Some places are selling brand new Vettes for 15-20% off MSRP. Some guys are turning pure stock Vette Z06 with automatic transmission and stock tires in the high 10 second range in the quarter mile.
I didn't mention Fords. If this were 2011-2014 I would mention the Mustang GT in a heartbeat, however IMHO the new Camaro SS with the base Vette engine, and being put on a diet bypassed the Mustang GT. The Mustang GT got heavier without the big horsepower bump that the Camaro SS just got. I'm dying to see the new Camaro ZL1 with the Vette Z06 engine plus the 10 speed auto in action.
Then again, there's the Dodge Demon coming out and it should really be interesting. A street legal 9 second quarter mile car with a warranty and insurable. I imagine most of those will be garage queens that won't be daily drivers, but taken to the strip on occasion.
