If I wanted to contact a provider who advertised on Backpage (but wasn't on here), what would be a good text introduction? Should I mention my name or anything about me? Or is texting a bad idea for an introduction?

Reading and research are your best friends in the hobby as a gent. So many do not read, and it can become very frustrating for us when we are asked the same questions over and over again, when the information is clearly stated on our sites/ads/showcases/profiles.
Most reputable providers will mention in some way how they prefer to be contacted(text, email, pm, etc.), as well as what times they are available. I cannot tell you how many times I get contacted at 10pm asking, "Hey, you around?"
I actually wrote a blog about this very thing. You would be amazed how many men contact me and never once mention a first name. Uh, wtf am I supposed to call you? Mr Manny man man? Lols.
I would start off with something like this:
"Hi Victoria. My name is John and I'd love to book an oasis session with you. I am thinking about Tuesday at 3pm, but if that doesn't work for you, please give me some alternate times that can. Thank you."
I am extremely more likely to promptly reply to messages such as that versus the ones that are like, "Hey, you available?" Grrrr, one of my biggest hobby pet peeves.
Oh, and P.S. Beware of bp.
