WTF, I beg to differ but only because of the timeline. Are you stating it took a year from the time Obama took office or a year from the time the bill was available for all to read?
If I recall correctly, Obama stated in his campaign that all legislation would sit on his desk for 5 days before him signing in order for the citizenry to be able to read and comment on it. We all know that did not happen.
Why did Nancy Pelosi state that we have to pass the bill in order to see what is in it without the ability to debate.
The difference between now and then is that the Dems had the bill tucked into a drawer just waiting for the time to pull it out and slam it through.
So, if you would, please share your understanding of the timeline of the Obamacare bill.

Do you think the GOP is voting on the original bill? Do you think it will pass with any Democrats voting for it? It is being done exactly how Obamacare was done....this thing was written by the insurance industry.
Look, it is not fixing the actual problem, just like Obamacare did not fix the actual problem.

So what is the "actual" problem?

I hope this move fails and he moves on. This plan is a killer. I think he will get a big boost to his approval ratings if he moves straight into immigration reform. Even I support him there, well at least on most points. Its really the only thing he is winning on with me. I think that goes for a bunch of people.

The law was signed by Reagan... be like telling a restaurant that they have to serve somebody hungry for free. Neither party has addressed the real problem w Healthcare in this country.

This way, even the poor and "undocumented " immigrants have skin the in the game. This was Obamas strategy all along. He just didn't factor in a Trump presidency.

Somebody needs to explain that we had universal coverage b4 Obamacare.
The article pointed out real world costs and a easy solution.
Without repealing the mandate that hospitals take in any and all....you need to find a way to pay for that. You can not expect hospitals to pay for it

The best way to fix healthcare COSTS is to get the governments out of it.
What part of the Constitution says that it is the governments responsibility to provide healthcare to the citizens and/or those that are not citizens. Don't tell me the Preamble because that is not law.

That is correct. But the government will always be involved to some extent. That will never go away.

Get governments out of it? How about getting insurance companies out of the mix? I know, I know, never going to happen. I'm not actually entirely sold on the idea that Trump even cares about the bill that is currently under consideration.
I believe that if Trump is actually the businessman that he claims to be then he will open up Medicare to all Americans. For all the obvious downsides of that, it will be incredibly popular and the problem of cost will move to a battle between the Federal Government and the corporate healthcare sector. Which would put Trump in an extremely powerful position to negotiate cost. Of course, the insurance industry would immediately vaporize.

Single payer is the only logical solution. It's why Obamacare was ineffective.
Phuck Pharma and the insurance companies.
