I'm re-reading "American Gods" by Neil Gaiman... If you're looking for something a little 'off-the-wall,' I'd suggest "John Dies at the End" by David Wong.

Well I would see her about every three days and she was always finished. I'm not sure how many hours it took.lol I never had to buy paper backs.she just gave them to me.I was in my twenties and if it wasnt for her I never would have read at all.

It is if you're working a job, raising kids, etc...

For me, I love Mario Puzo, Anne Rice, Jim Butcher, Larry Niven.

There's also a local author who's been publishing short stories on Kindle about his family during the Civil War. Not my favorite genre, but they pull me in. (If anybody's interested, PM me for a link. I'm not sure I should post his name here.)

Agree with Mario Puzo, Jd Salinger's catcher and rye. Any of Dostoyevsky but Idiot is truly enjoyable. Animal Farm by Orwell. Don Quixote always made me chuckle. Edwin Torres-Carlitos way and after hours. Tolkien's books. I have a collection of 500+ books needed kindle to save space. Not to mention the rest of the lit classics.

I don't get or take time to read much but if I do it is usually James Patterson series. Probably 3 of my favorites were " See How They Run, Along Came A Spider, and Kiss The Girls" If I would keep off the computer I could read more.
