Do you have a reserved hotel room? If not, then no, I wouldn't show up on Mardi Gras Day. Virtually every hotel room in town is booked. Also, there are parades and traffic jams everywhere, so unless you really, really know your way around town, you'll spend half the day stuck in traffic.

I have been camping out at parades since 8am this morning....it is now 10:25 and i am soooooooooooo tired!!!! But i did get a rubber chicken & I got to march in the parade with the "box of wine krewe"...lol

I love mardi Gras!!!!!

I met a few ladies from a new krewe called the drunken whores! Hillarious. Did you see them Dallas? They were marching with the boxed wine krewe.
