Same here. 3 or 4 cars I bought at dealerships they let me charge ~ $3,000 to a CC and I paid the rest cash. Usually with cars I've been able to negotiate a lower price by paying in full with cash up front so that is the way to go.

I have one debit card which I use only to pull cash from an ATM. Only one place I make purchases with my debit card is at Spec's because they give a 5% discount.

All my CC's are on file with a CC registry. If I lose my wallet I'll make one call and they will cancel all the cards for me. Used that one time when my wallet was stolen in a foreign country and it was invaluable.

I only use two credit cards....AMEX and a Mastercard. Never had a problem with them but I never use them for small purchases. Lots of perks on the AMEX card and the MC gives me 7 miles for every dollar I spend. I never carry over a balance with either card. I have a debit card but it's only purpose is to give me quick cash from only my bank.

Bbkid....I'm with you. I hate standing in lines and it's even worse if some clown in front of me is buying something for 5 bucks and putting it on a card.
The only thing worse is being in a store and the guy in front of me can't reach his pockets for his money because the top of his pants is hanging down below his ass.

I pay for most everything with CC. I hate waiting in line and wait for you cash payers to find the right bills and/or right change to pay.
