This crime is directly the cause of prohibition of prostitution. If it were legal these crimes might not have happened, and if it did while legalization was in affect the women would have full protection of the laws, thus the police would have to work harder at solving the crime, not putting it to the bottom of a stack with the term NHI. If prostitution were legal across the country women in the business would have more control over who they see, and how. They would be able to document their customers without threat of arrest and keep legal records for tax purposes, and accounts receivables. Much easier to track crimes against these women through records. This is my opinion on the matter.
