Yes it can. A person I see just had some bad shit happen because someone got carried away. Not sure what a guy gets out of slapping a girl around. I guess it makes him feel really powerful because he can beat on a girl.

Sometimes girls exaggerate. I know a few that love the slapping around...begging more and harder.
