Most of these products have a form of medicine in them that will linger in your system, that's why you feel groggy and hung over later into the day after taking them. Melatonin however is a lot closer to the natural sleep chemical that the body produces and those will have less of an effect on you after you awake.

The chemical name for Ambiem is Zolpidem, which is a hypnotic. The hypnotic component is why you hear about people doing bizarre things in the middle of the night after consuming the drug. Those that take Ambien with the intent to truly fall asleep and reach an REM state, which is what one seeks, is not what actually happens. Instead, you get knocked out and "hypnotized" for lack of a better term. You're getting drugged into an unconscious state. Ask Darren Sharper. You are not getting the restful and restorative sleep you seek.

Having said that, being knocked out on Ambien is better than staying awake all night, provided you don't end up doing something crazy.

Default I tried

I've tried counting providers to put me to sleep. They give me very pleasant thoughts but as the old saying goes. "A man can fall asleep with a light on, but never with a hard on."

Lightbulb More natural, less problematic

P.,

If you are sensitive to drugs, melatonin may work well for you.
It relaxes you just enough to help fall asleep. I get some vivid dreams at times,
but next morning you will most likely not feel sleepy. It is not very strong.
If you haven't already, give it a try.

Or buy a bottle of Pinot Noir

I'm fucked
Melatonin gives me a weird feeling.
I read up on Seroquel. It seems like something too serious for me.

Well I have wine

Cool

P,

You can also try chamomile tea. It is an old remedy for making you relax. Since you appear to be rather sensitive to supplements, it may work for you .
Melatonin does affect me as well, but not so much that I will not use it.

Good luck!

I took seroquil once and slept for 3 days and I said that I would never take that again! So i had my Dr. Switch me to valiums and those were a lot better and helped me fall asleep and my restless leg syndrome went away when i took the valiums too.. I would suggest to try valiums they help with anxiety, restless leg syndrome, and help you to sleep.. I hate having insomnia its the worst feeling not being able to sleep. Also you can try drinking yourself to sleep lol. I'm a lightweight when it comes to drinking so a few shots do it for me.. Good luck babe I hope you find something that works for you and get some rest.. Good luck ×o×o Kk

Have to watch the weight gain with Seroquil...

Insomnia isn't anything to lose sleep over!
