Definitely, states like Texas that are gun oriented will offer a great deal of resistance. People will often say the Military follows orders. That's without a doubt very true, what they often fail to realize they don't like any opposition. Raids like gun confiscation would be exhausting for officers as long as people comply and things go smoothly they can cover lots of ground. But the reality of the situation is they know they are enacting upon unconstitutional grounds and any resistance by law abiding gun owners would be more than what they signed up for and there would inevitably be casualties on both sides and that's not what they really want. Our Constitution protects the right to keep and bear arms and that's all there is to it. No political propaganda to sway law abiding gun owners to give up their 2nd amendment rights is going to matter. No one likes to hear of mayhem in our city streets involving gun violence. But that's just the nature of the beast. Violence will always exist whether guns are available or not. At least those that are physically incapable will have the option to arm themselves.
