Yeah, so when you get the data, its roughly 2,600 Excel files, each with 1000's of names. Anyone with semi decent programming skills could get this into a database in under an hour easy. Just looking through 2 files, I've found 3 guys who's house I could jog to in like 3 minutes.

This is going to seriously fuck a ton of people over. As is, most spouses probably don't have to skills to look through that much data. That said, it's probably a matter of time before some one sets up a site where you can look through a alphabetized listing.

I think one of those divorce lawyer lobby groups must have funded this, because this is a huge winfall for them

Wow! That's just crazy. What is CRAZIER is the amount of stupidity in people to use their work computers/phones/Internet to go on the site... I read somewhere (can't remember where) that they had said that TER is next in line... I'll go back and look because that would be just as bad as Eccie...

So, basically, the CC transaction info (linked to the site), which is what the hackers wanted to highlight, I think.

Really well paying positions usually have a multi year contract involved, and after a lot of the scandals over the years, these contracts now have morality clauses.

There are a lot of executives over the years that have gotten hired again after mismanaging their companies. You can explain away a lot of that. Getting caught screwing an 18 year old hooker 1/3 - 1/2 your age? Not so much. Too much of a public relations risk and there are 20 guys younger and cheaper just waiting to step into your spot.

Eccie uses a third party billing service which does not pass along identifying information. The only information Eccie itself has about its users aside from the standard stuff any website has are Usernames and Email addresses that's it.

As long as the email and username used cannot be tied to you personally there is minimal risk even should such a scenario happen. As always each person is responsible for their own online security. It is recommended that anyone with concerns use an anonymous email address unconnected to and unused by anything in your real identity.

If you do not use such an email address for Eccie currently you should change the account Email in your user Control Panel. Feel free to PM a staff member or email websupport@eccie.net if you need assistance doing so.

Changing the email address purges the old one from the database and overwrites it.
